What's not to love about this little slice of heaven on earth, well Nashville. You'll get lost in all the projects that you can create or better yet complete. Truly such a gem in the community not the art community. Where else can you go and find the best books, arts, crafts, home goods, party supplies... Well let's just say they've got everything. The best part is that you get to donate to an amazing cause at the end. So please don't forget to do that. If you're looking for a place to donate they accept donations also.

Great place to find art supplies for creative projects. Go with the flow and be open-minded when looking for materials. Shout out to the staff of volunteers, teaching artists, and full staff. Wonderful place and people

My first time here and I am already planning my next adventure to this shop. I was truly amazed walking thru their aisles of art and crafting supplies. Plan on spending some time searching thru the wares. I found so many wonderful items. Their objective is to take donated items in to resell to the community to upscale into artworks by keeping these finds out of the landfills. This alone is a wonderful motive for visiting. But they also use a pay-what-you-can purchasing model so that everyone and anyone can afford to shop there for supplies, so for a (very) small crafting bussiness, this is a godsend. They have everything you can think of and things you never thought of. If you need supplies for a class full of budding artisans (ie a scout troop or VBS or rained out get together of elementary school friends) THIS is THE place to go. They have totes full of crayons and markers, writing implements and paints. Need a pile of medicine bottles or corks for a shoebox project, look no further. I needed some sturdy boxes for packing purchased sales items for my shop. I found some actual gift boxes and several branded gift boxes that also work for my needs. I even found an antique woode

This was such a cool concept and I wish more cities had a place to buy reused materials as I often find myself collecting things instead of throwing them away knowing someone else could have a great creative idea to use them. I loved the visual interest and inspiration I got by browsing the aisles and seeing everything they had. I purchased some paper, some stickers, and a plastic zip pouch - all were such a vibe with some of my other treasures found in Nashville. I also purchased a tiny print from a local artist, a small zine of poems, and a tiny composition notebook. I loved my visit to Turnip Green and hope this concept of recycling catches on in other areas too.

Stumbled upon this great donation based art store that allows people to β€œpay what you can” on random creative and art supplies that they have. I was getting ready to move across the country and was able to donate old office supplies, post-its, paper and other items I had around my apartment - I was very happy to donate those items here rather than somewhere like Goodwill or them going into the trash. I didn’t expect for them to ask me to stand there and go through every time I was donating. It was a bit judgey and uncomfortable as they handed back a can of spray paint that they thought could be less than half full. I was disappointed that the rest of it wouldn’t be used be someone (even for free!) and that I had to throw it out instead.
